a little about us... |
We look forward, each semester, to new experiences and adventures in each of our classes as we meet new and returning students and together embark upon a learning journey!
In each of our classes we engage in a variety of activities, learning independently, as a whole group, and collaborating in small group settings. Students, as individuals and as a member of a group of learners, will explore and implement different learning styles throughout each of our courses. Students have opportunities to make choices in their learning from choosing a novel from a selection provided, bringing in texts, and other media related items that are of personal interest, and also in the ways in which they communicate and share their learning. |
Assessments are balanced and purposeful and range from sight passage tests to writing fiction and poetry, creating media items, oral presentations, collaborative and independent projects. Students engage in daily discussions, reading and writing activities that include fiction, non fiction and media texts, content, and concepts.
